Give us a snapshot of your umpiring achievements so far:
I started my green shirt umpiring at the beginning of the 2019 netball winter season. A month later, I received my white shirt, and not long after, I was tested and got given my C badge.
Why did you start umpiring?
I started umpiring to further develop my knowledge of the rules of netball.
What do you love most about umpiring?
The thing I love most about umpiring is that not only do you get paid, but it helps my understanding of the game and helps me to be more confident.
How has being an umpire benefitted you?
Being an umpire benefits me because it has made me a much better player and a more confident person. It has also given me the opportunity to make new friends.
What piece of umpiring advice would you like to pass onto beginner umpires?
A piece of umpiring advice I would like to pass on to beginner umpires is, remember, if you see it, call it. Always use a loud voice and a loud sharp blow into the whistle. Don’t be scared.
