Netball WA is excited to announce Phase 3 the Return to Community Netball Roadmap, with the recommencement of full contact training and competitions on indoor and outdoor courts from Saturday 6th of June.
Following the State Government’s recent announcement, Netball WA has developed a framework that will guide the sport’s return to full contact training and competitions over the coming weeks whilst ensuring the ongoing health and wellbeing of the community.
The framework provides members with support and advice on how to make a safe return to their sport and has been developed in conjunction with key stakeholders including Netball Australia, the State Government, other state sporting bodies and Clubs and Associations.
Netball WA CEO, Simon Taylor said: “For many of our players and members, this has been a long time coming and we are delighted to have a framework in place to allow players back on the court safely.”
“We encourage parents, players and officials to familiarize themselves with the framework and make sure they are prepared to follow all safety and hygiene practices to ensure a safe and sustainable return to the Netball environment,” Taylor said.
“Our Associations will be reviewing and considering this information and how it relates to their Club and venue environment in the coming days and will provide further information to their members in due course.”
The new parameters placed on indoor and outdoor training from Saturday will include a limit of 100/300 people per venue, ensuring adequate social distancing.
The Return to Netball Framework is available on Netball WA’s website and can be found here.
