The year 7/8 students participated in a school netball program during term three which was funded by DLGSC, many of whom had never played before and have since fallen in love with the sport.
The program is creating a culturally supportive and safe environment that has allowed the girls to learn how to play, work as a team and gain confidence. As voted on by the teams, the 14U squad will be called Meeka whilst the 16U team have been named Djindas.
The squad have been training hard, working on their running, jumping, agility and coordination and are looking well prepared for the spring season.
