Each year Netball WA offers scholarships to provide opportunities for Netball WA affiliated coaches, umpires and managers from grass roots to elite level further their aspirations through education, accreditation and personal development opportunities.
The three Scholarship Programs include:
- Bette Allison Coach Scholarship
- Fay Bevan Umpire Scholarship
- Flo Starcevich Managers Scholarship
Netball WA is pleased to announce that a 2021 Fay Bevan Umpire Scholarship recipient is Emily Read from the Manjimup Netball Association.
Emily started umpiring at Regional Carnivals 5 years ago, has been selected to be a participant in the NWA South West Regional Umpire Academy and is a Southwest Football/Netball League Squad Umpire.
She attained her B badge in 2020 and wants to keep developing her umpire skills so she can continue giving back to Manjimup Netball Association
"I want to continue to develop and encourage more juniors to get into umpiring and love it as much as I do," she said.
