Delivery: Face to Face Workshop or Online Session Description: This workshop has been designed to assist with writing and delivering training sessions and game day coaching. What you’ll learn: • How to coach the basic skills of netball. • How to write a training session and progress a skill. • How to keep players engaged. • How to manage parents/spectators. Requirements: • Working towards Foundation Coach Accreditation • Current affiliation with your Member Organisation Duration: 2-3 hours
Delivery: Face to Face Workshop Description: The purpose of the Netball WA Connect Coach program is to support the existing Coach Accreditation Framework. What you’ll learn: The workshop will provide coaches with the opportunity to deliver, in a practical sense, the Foundation skills of netball: • Explanation and Demonstration of the Foundation skills • Progressing the skills • Error detection and correction of the skills Requirements: • Working towards or completion of the Foundation Coach Accreditation • Current affiliation with your Member Organisation Who is this course for?: Aimed at community coaches Duration: 3 hours
Delivery: Face to Face Workshop Description: Designed to build confidence in coaches to deliver 5-step progressions and use coaching points to provide positive feedback to their players. What you’ll learn: This practical workshop will cover, along with some of the Development Skills of Netball: • 1-5 Step Progression • Error Detection and Correcting Skills • Providing Feedback Requirements: • Current Foundation or Development Coach Accreditation • Current affiliation with your Member Organisation Who is this course for?: Foundation and Development accredited community coaches Duration: 3 hours
Delivery: Face to Face Workshop Description: Designed for coaches who have the Development Coach Accreditation and wish to undertake the Intermediate Coach Accreditation Course. What you’ll learn: Using a blend of theory and practical, the workshop will cover: • 1-7 Step Progression • Error Detection and Correction • Specific Feedback • Coachable Moments Requirements: • Current Development Coach Accreditation • Current affiliation with your Member Organisation Who is this course for?: Coaches aiming to gain the Intermediate Coach Accreditation. Duration: 3 hours
Delivery: Face to Face Workshop Description: This workshop has been designed to empower coaches to detect faults, correct skills and recognise coachable moments. What you’ll learn: The ability to detect faults and correct techniques to promote the development of skills. Requirements: • Current Foundation Coach Accreditation • Current affiliation with your Member Organisation Who is this course for?: Aimed at community coaches. Duration: 2 hours
Delivery: Face to Face Workshop or Online Session Description: This practical workshop outlines clear definitions for selection of players and covers recommendations for policies and processes to conduct trials. What you’ll learn: This workshop will cover: • How to Set Your Selection Criteria • The Selection Process • Role of the Selector • Conflicts of Interest • What to Look For Requirements: Completion of Select for Netball Success (can be found via the link below) Who is this course for?: Community coaches Duration: 1.5 hours
Delivery: Face to Face Workshop or Online Session Description: The aim of the "On the Court” Program is to supplement the existing Coach Accreditation Framework. What you’ll learn: These workshops can be tailored to your association’s development needs. Requirements: • Current Development or Intermediate Accreditation Who is this course for?: Community coaches of all levels Duration: Up to 2 hours
Delivery: Face to face session, including game day observations Description: Designed to assist with game day coaching at a community level. What You'll Learn: • How to organise your players and support staff • How to deliver feedback at games • Pre-game and post-game routines Requirements: • Current coach accreditation and affilliation with Netball WA. Who is this for?: Junior and Open level community coaches Duration: 2 hours
Delivery: Face to face session. Description: Currently offered at Association level and Pathway Programs. What You'll Learn: This workshop has been designed to assist parents and other family members to support their netballer. • Being a supporter on the sidelines • Celebrating success • Navigating challenges • Player Pathway perspective Requirements: • Association or Pathway Program invite only Who is this workshop for?: Targetted at parents/carers of players Duration: 1 hour Contact your the West Coast Fever Pathway Team

Payment must accompany registration. Netball WA will be enforcing Netball Australia National Policy and Assessment Guidelines in relation to refunds of course enrolment fees, as follows: Notification of withdrawal in writing up to 30 days prior to commencement of the course – Full refund. Notification of withdrawal in writing up to 14 days prior to commencement of the course – 50% refund. Notification of withdrawal in writing less than 14 days prior to commencement of the course – No refund. In the event of a participant wishing to transfer to another course, a 30% admin fee will apply. All transfers must be approved by the Coach Development Coordinator and formal enrolment must be completed for the preferred course. Please note that transfers will only be approved if requested prior to the course date, and only transfers in to a course in the same calendar year will be processed.
Netball WA reserve the right to cancel any course if: 2 weeks prior to the course less than 15 participants are registered in the scheduled course. For any reason a Coach Presenter cannot be sourced to deliver the Session or the Coach Presenter is taken ill and no replacement can be sourced in the appropriate time. Inclement weather puts presenter, athletes and participants at risk. Appropriate number or level of athletes have not been arranged by Club/Association (if club/association requested course). Any other event which requires the course to be cancelled and is out of the control of Netball WA or the host Club/Association.
