Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Academy Program

In place of the Aboriginal All Stars program from 2021, the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Academy Program (AAP) exists alongside the Metro Academy Program and Regional Representative Teams with the purpose of providing the opportunity for players, coaches and umpires to compete against each other in the State Cup Pathway Competition. The AAP serves to provide another opportunity for a culturally-safe environment for athletes should they wish to be a part of this program instead of trialling for their aligning regional or metro academy programs. The same selection processes will be utilised across all three programs, ensuring this program is another opportunity for athletes, rather than another ‘chance’ should they be unsuccessful in any of the programs.
