Wheatbelt Goldfields Regional Championships shows spirit of Netball

Northam Netball Association hosted the Wheatbelt Goldfields Regional Championships over the weekend, with athletes, officials and coaches showing the spirit of the game.

Northam Netball Association hosted the Wheatbelt Goldfields Regional Championships over the weekend, with athletes, officials and coaches showing the spirit of the game.  

Twenty-Nine teams took to the court over the weekend, across five divisions.  

The inaugural “Spirit of Netball Award” went to Central Wheatbelt 14/U Team from Central Wheatbelt Netball Association.  

Lisa McDowell from Imperials Netball Club was awarded the Rising Star Coach Award, whilst Macy French from Northam Netball Association took home the Rising Umpire.  

A number of umpires were also awarded Badges over the weekend. Congratulations to C Badge recipients from Northam Netball Association Mattia McPherson and Macy French. Well done to Kristy Jarvis from Merredin Netball Association for receiving her B Badge.  

Congratulations to hosting association Northam, for taking a clean sweep across the competition.
