Western Australia’s campaign started strong on the first day with two huge wins against Queensland and Tasmania leaving them undefeated.
On Saturday the squad were challenged, going down to Victoria by 18 goals and the eventual premiers New South Wales by 30.
Never giving up, the Western Swans returned to the winners’ circle against the Australian Capital Territory with a 28-goal win to secure a place in the bronze medal match.
The stakes were high on Sunday as the Western Swans went up against rivals South Australia for third place.
After a fierce battle, it was SA who took the last medal for the competition defeating the Western Swans 31 to 15.
Although they didn’t clinch that bronze medal, the Western Swans once again displayed WA’s talent on a national level
