The final quarter lifted in intensity as Comets tightened the margin and pushed Roar under sustained pressure. With the lead reduced to five goals and only two and a half minutes remaining, the match remained alive and demanded composure from both sides. A crucial intercept from Creek stopped what could have been an essential goal for Comets, helping Roar protect their advantage in the closing stages. Roar held firm to secure a 56–52 win in a hard-fought Grand Final.
