Scarlet Jauncey (Yawuru) and Tierrah Miller (Yamatji/Noongar) will return to the National squad after impressive individual performances in 2025.
Jauncey is coming off the back of a Netball World Youth Cup gold medal for Australia where she was voted vice-captain, as well as a Super Netball Reserves premiership with West Coast Fever.
Miller was a standout member of WA’s First Nations Squad, a natural leader in the mid-court.
Both athletes competed in the Gold Industry Group WA Netball League for the West Coast Warriors in 2025, making it to the elimination final.
Within the Black Swans program, athletes remain connected to their home-state training while taking part in a season-long schedule of in-person and virtual activities.
In 2026, Giants Netball Assistant Coach Jen Wright will take over the reigns as Head Coach.
The squad will also have guidance from Netball Australia’s First Nations Pathway Manager, Beryl Friday, who also competed in GIG WANL for the West Coast Warriors this year.
Friday said that athletes aren’t just competing, but shaping the future of pathways for netball in Australia.
“The Black Swans continue to show that when culture and opportunity come together, incredible things happen.”
