West Coast Men's & Mixed Netball Association (WCMMNA) will host the 2021 Thunder Cup on Saturday, November 27, with registrations for the annual event now open.

WCMMNA President Jerome Gillbard said the event provided a great competitive opportunity for mixed netball teams, while also forming an important part of the male netball participation and talent pathway.

“Whilst being a standalone event, the Thunder cup provides boys from twelve years old an opportunity to continue playing the sport they love as we look to close the gap in participation opportunities for boys in this age group," Gillbard said.

"The event also provides our staff the opportunity to talent identify boys, men and mixed athletes who may be well suited, and potentially invited, to our program. We are really fortunate in WA to be able to play the sport we love and put on such an event, and I’m looking forward to seeing the talent and enthusiasm on the day.”
