Netball WA is excited to launch its fifth annual Suncorp NetSetGO Week starting Monday 13 July, 2020.
Suncorp NetSetGO is Netball Australia’s junior netball program, which has been developed specifically for children aged five to 10 years old, with a focus on learning the basics of the game in a fun and engaging way.
Starting off the week Netball WA are offering a free ‘Get to Know NETSETGO’ online course. COVID restrictions has changed the way West Coast Fever players will interact with participants this year, with a focus on digital clinics.
Throughout NetSetGO week, West Coast Fever players will appear in videos including Daily Skills Challenges and Health Tips with Kaylia Stanton. Goal Shooter Jhaniele Fowler will team up with defender Olivia Lewis for short NetSetGO video sessions, which participants can access on any device.
The week will culminate on Friday July 17, with Netball WA holding a school holiday Suncorp NetSetGO clinic between 11am – midday at the Gold Netball Centre.
Netball WA General Manager of Community Netball, Liz Booth, said the dedicated week was a great opportunity to highlight the grassroots level of netball.
“We are very proud to roll out NetSetGO week this year and allow children to try their hand at netball,” Booth said.
“COVID-19 meant looking at new ways to engage children in netball, this year we have added video sessions, which can be accessed anywhere and at any time, will allow more children to take part.”
To celebrate NetSeGO week, participants are eligible for discounted tickets to West Coast Fever’s pre-season game against the WA mixed All-Stars team at RAC Arena on Wednesday July 15, tickets via Ticketek.
