Following strong performances by the State 19/U and 17/U Teams at the National Netball Championships in Darwin, 10 WA athletes have been selected in Netball Australia’s 2023 19/U & 17/U Australian Pathway Squads.

Netball WA would like to congratulate the following athletes on their selection in the squads:

19/U Athletes

Georgie Cleaver, Jasmah Haywood, Scarlet Jauncey, Maya Kenny and Indiana Squiers.

17/U Athletes

Kate Cunningham, Chloe Ramsay, Halle Richards, Emily Rivers and Clara Wigley.

Netball WA Head of Performance Liam Warwick said the strong representation of WA athletes in the national squads was a great reflection on Netball WA’s pathway and development programs.

“Netball WA has worked really hard to create an environment which supports young athletes and teams to grow, develop, perform and achieve,” Warwick said.

“The team results in Darwin, where WA secured a silver and bronze medal, highlight the great systems, coaching and programs we have created at Netball WA through the Fever Academy and Fever Futures programs.

“These development programs have allowed individuals and teams to shine and succeed. To achieve two medals and have 10 athletes selected for the Australian Pathway Squads is a fantastic effort and shows that the future is bright for WA Netball.”
