Western Australia’s 19 & Under and 17 & Under State Teams have returned from the 2022 National Netball Championships in Tasmania after testing themselves against the top talent from every other State and Territory.
WA finished fourth in the 19U division and fifth in the 17U division after a week of competition from April 19 to 24 at the Hobart Netball and Sports Centre.
The 19Us coached by Karly Guadagnin finished their week with a bronze medal play off with Victoria, going down 34 to 40 in a hard-fought contest.
The 17Us coached by Sam Lee finished 5th after defeating host state Tasmania 31 to 23 in their final match of the competition.
The WA players were selected from the West Coast Fever Futures Squads, with an official dress presentation held before they departed with West Coast Fever athletes in front of family and friends at the Gold Netball Centre.
New South Wales took out the Gold Medal in both age groups.
