The Netball WA State Cup Competition was held last Friday, providing the opportunity for athletes, umpires and coaches from the Aboriginal All Stars, Metro Association Teams and Regional Representative Teams to compete and showcase their talent for the Netball WA Competition Pathway.

In the 14U Division, Perth Netball Association defeated Fremantle Team 2 by five-points in a close match finishing on a score of 33-28.

Meanwhile, the Wanneroo Districts NA took out the premiership for the 16U division, defeating South West by 14 points in a lethal win 44-30.

Fremantle NA claimed their victory, heading home as the 18U Premiers this year.

In the Opens Grand Final, North West Region won the premiership after an exceptional performance on the court, defeating Success NA 52-38.

Following the State Cup, a number of awards were presented to recipients for their contribution and excellence as Netball umpires and coaches. Steph Fulham received the honour of the All Star Umpire, with Devon Proudfoot being awarded the Emerging Umpire. From Wanneroo Districts NA, Janine Friday was named this year’s All Star Coach, and Belmont NA’s Jason Clark, the 2021 Emerging Coach.
