Each year, the Netball WA State Cup Competition is held to create a platform for all players, coaches, and umpires from the Aboriginal All Stars, Metro Association Teams and Regional Representative Teams to come together and compete. The State Cup also provides an opportunity for athletes, umpires and coaches to gain selection points towards progression into next level of programs and pathways as a part of the Netball WA Competition Pathway.

State Cup will also be host to the Aboriginal All Stars teams for both 14U and 16U teams. The Aboriginal All Stars program is designed to allow Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander girls the opportunity to exposed to the netball pathway

This year, the State Cup will also be hosting the WA Marie Little Shield (MLS) State Team, who will be playing 2 exhibition matches in place of their national competition which was cancelled earlier in the year.
