2019 Netball Community Raffle Winner, Shami picked up her new Nissan X-TRAIL 2WD Auto yesterday.
The 20 year-old will be driving around in style with her first car, valued at more than $35,000, thanks to our Partner, Nissan.
“I’m absolutely shocked that I won a car, when I received the phone call I’m pretty sure I yelled, ‘Are you kidding me?’” she said.
“This will be my first car, so as soon as I pass my driving test I’ll be driving it, and I’m so excited.”
Shami bought two tickets from the Perth Netball Association, one of which was the winning ticket.
This year saw more than 35,500 tickets sold with 60% of funds raised returned to Associations and Clubs and the remaining 40% placed in a Community Facilities Fund.
The Netball Community Raffle has proven a huge success, with the initiative providing support for netball in Western Australia.
