Congratulation to Roar Men's and Warriors 21s for also securing the first ticket to the Grand Final.
Comets 67 defeated Warriors 40
Comets booked their place in Sunday’s preliminary final with a commanding 67–40 win over Warriors, taking control early and never allowing the margin to come back within reach. Warriors defender Ava Buselich worked hard to create turnover opportunities with a number of intercepts, but a slow start to the second quarter proved costly as Comets tightened their grip on the contest. Liz Dronfield was influential in defence for Comets, while their moving shooting circle helped them maintain attacking momentum. Warriors relied heavily on Zoe Harper and gained some added movement when Hana Stokes entered the circle, but the double-digit margin continued to grow as Comets finished strongly. The result brought Warriors’ season to an end, while Emma Cosh marked her 150th GIG WANL appearance.

Roar 57 defeated Demons 39
Roar produced one of the upsets of the season with a 57–39 win over minor premiers Demons, delivering their strongest performance when it mattered most. Caitlyn Brown was outstanding in defence, collecting intercepts and deflections while disrupting Demons’ movement both inside the circle and through the court. Maddie Hunter was also important through the midcourt, helping Roar turn pressure into attacking opportunities. Demons were unable to find their usual rhythm and struggled to release the ball cleanly, particularly through the second phase of the centre pass. Sophia Lamers led the scoring with 35 goals, but it was Roar’s defensive pressure and composure that shaped the result.
