Despite the 13-goal final margin, the game was neck and neck up until half time with the Warriors even able to forge a small lead in the first quarter.
With Roar facing the possibility of an upset, they came out firing in the second quarter winning it by six goals and taking a margin of three into half time.
Despite the towering height of the Warriors shooting duo, Roar’s midcourt and defence held steady to cause the Warriors headaches.
Once into the third quarter, Roar put their foot on the accelerator and added another four goals to their lead.
Max Denholm maintained a nearly flawless shooting record with 46 Goals at 98 per cent.
Roar extended their lead again in the last quarter to book their Grand Final ticket and ensure the Warriors were headed to the Preliminary Final.
Comets secured a confident 63-38 win against the Demons in opposite fashion to the Roar.
They were very quick out of the blocks holding a 14-goal lead at quarter time, starving the Demons’ shooters of ball in the circle.
While the Demons regained some composure it was not enough to get themselves back in the game as they also lost the second and third quarter.
While the Comets were not immune to an error, their work rate off the ball and ability to intercept passes proved the difference in the end.
While Demons took the last quarter by two goals it was too little, too late as the Comets set up an exciting battle with the Warriors in Tuesday’s Preliminary Final.
