The Regional Association Presidents, Coach/Player Development Officers and Umpire Development Officers attended two days of workshops run across the three streams.
The metropolitan Development & Umpire Development Officers joined everyone for Saturday’s sessions. A variety of presenters, including Rick Smith from Elite Business Performance and Sportwest CEO Troy Kirkham delivered workshops across the weekend.
The Presidents attended workshops on Governance related topics, with the Coach/Player and Umpire Development Officers attending workshops on a variety of coaching, player and umpiring topics ranging from Community netball to Pathway representation.
Played at the Gold Netball Centre, Saturday’s 90 plus Leadership Forum participants were treated to the West Coast Fever V Fever Reserves pre-season game.
Now an annual event on the Netball WA calendar, the Regional Leadership Forum provides an important opportunity for the volunteers in leadership positions across regional WA to upskill and network.
Having face to face access to industry professionals, Netball WA Group CEO and staff, as well as each other, provides invaluable networking opportunities for some of Netball WA’s most remote Associations.
Associations were represented from as far North as Kununurra, Broome and Derby, across to Newman in the Pilbara, down to Albany and across the south east to Esperance.
Opportunities such as these are made possible through the support of Netball WA Principal Partner the Gold Industry Group.
Netball WA will host the Metropolitan Presidents for their Leadership Forum in October
