Started in 2019, the Origin Metro League competition is an 8-week long Association representative netball competition aimed to bridge the gap between Association club netball and the Gold Industry Group West Australian Netball League. Playing in this competition are the best players, coaches and umpires from each Association.

Over the 22nd and 23rd of September, the Division 1 and 2 teams from both 14U and 18U participated in their Grand Finals.

14U

The Premiers of the 14U Division 1 were Perth NA 1, defeating Wanneroo Districts NA in a gruelling game 61-28. Wanneroo Districts NA were again taken down by Mandurah NA in a tight 14U Division 2 Grand Final, finishing five-points ahead on a final score of 38-33.

16U

While Fremantle NA were defeated 63-26 in the Division 1 Premiership game against Wanneroo Districts NA, Fremantle NA won the Division 2 Match against Southern Districts NA 48-39.

14U MVP Winners - Division 1

Grand Final MVP: Rachel Cant (Wanneroo Districts NA)

Overall Season MVP: Honey Harrington (Wanneroo Districts NA)

14U MVP Winners - Division 2

Grand Final MVP: Tiahna Websdale (Suothern Districts NA)

Overall Season MVP: Tegan Butler (Southern Districts NA)

18U

Rockingham & Districts NA claimed a 30-point victory in the 18U Division 1 Grand Final against Wanneroo Districts NA 63-33. Kalamunda & Districts NA were able to take the cup for Division 2 of the 18U as well, defeating Joondalup NA 51-44.

14U MVP Winners - Division 2

Grand Final MVP: Sarah Cameron (Kalamunda & Districts NA)

Overall Season MVP: Georgia Taylor (Joondalup NA)

Opens

The Grand Final for the Opens consisted of four different Clubs competing for the season trophy. Kalamunda & Districts NA won the Division 1 Grand Final against Success NA 64-41.

Wanneroo Districts NA took home a final win for the 2021 Origin Metro League after being victorious against Southern Districts NA 56-48.
