Open Qualifying Final – Roar v Comets, Court 1 6:30pm
In the Open Division, Roar and Comets will face off in the Qualifying Final for a direct path into the Grand Final.
The reigning champions come into the game as Minor Premiers and are hot favourites having won their last seven matches.
Comets had a strong back half of the season and managed to rise to second place by the end of the regular season.
In their previous matches this season, Roar have won both encounters. The first by five goals and the second by 10.
Both teams feature multiple scoring options as the competition’s two highest scoring teams. They are also the only two sides to have multiple goalers in the competition’s top 10 scorers, with Comets having three on the list.
Open Elimination Final – Demons v Sharks, Court 1 8:00pm
The Demons and Sharks will go head-to-head to keep their seasons alive after finishing third and fourth.
The two teams finished the season equal on points with 10 wins each and less than two per cent separating them.
Earlier in the season, Demons were top of the table and they will be determined to return to the top of the competition in finals.
The game should be a close one as two weeks ago the sides played a thriller with the Sharks getting over the line by two goals. Back in round six however, Demons were able to muster a 10-goal win against the East Freo side.
Men’s Qualifying Final – Roar v Warriors, Court 3 8:00pm
Roar will also feature in the Men’s Division as Minor Premiers but will have the Warriors to contend with for an automatic Grand Final Spot.
Roar have been nearly untouchable across the 12 games they’ve played, recording an impressive percentage of 162.
They have only lost once this season, the culprits for the blemished record are the Warriors who scraped over the line 37-35 in the final week of the Men’s Rapid Round.
The Warriors will have to contend with the Division’s leading shooter Max Denholm, who has scored 419 Goals at almost 95 per cent.
Men’s Elimination Final – Comets v Demons, Court 3 6:30pm
The Comets will face the Demons in the Elimination Final as they both look to make their mark on the finals campaign.
The two teams have had a number of close encounters this season when the Demons fell just one goal short against the Comets back in Round Nine.
If the Demons can find Goal Shooter Dylan Gunn in the forward circle easily, they will have full belief they can cause an upset.
Both teams feature players with State experience with Comets defender Guy Ramsay playing in the Australian Men’s and Mixed National Championship winning Western Thunder Open Men’s team as well as Gunn and Comets player Griff Thomas playing for the Open Mixed team.
