The winner of this year’s Netball Community Raffle has collected the keys to her brand new Nissan JUKE.

Kath purchased the winning ticket from Wembley Netball Club and was drawn as the first prize winner from more than 25,000 entries.

Launched in 2015, the Netball Community Raffle sees 60% of funds raised returned to Associations and Clubs, with the remaining 40% placed in a Community Facilities Fund.

Netball WA General Manager Community Liz Booth congratulated Kath on claiming the major prize and said that grassroots netball was also a big winner as a result of the raffle.

“This is a significant annual fundraiser for netball Associations and Clubs right around Western Australia and it’s great to see that so many people showed their support by purchasing a ticket” Booth said.

“Since it started in 2015, the raffle has raised more than $400,000, with over $250,000 returned to Associations and Clubs.

“This has been invested in a variety of projects ranging from equipment purchases and end of season events, to off-setting costs for athletes in talent development programs.”

“The Raffle has also injected over $150,000 into the Community Facilities Fund, which ensures that Clubs, Associations and Regions can continue to offer quality netball facilities.”

Netball WA looks forward to conducting its Community Raffle again in 2022.
