Netball WA has taken another step in their commitment to ending family and domestic violence, by partnering with Starick as one of their Official Charity Partners for 2025.

Starick is a West Australian charity aiming to end family and domestic violence and building safer communities for everyone. They provide crisis support, refuge accommodation and counselling for women and children escaping family and domestic violence, and respectful relationships programs in schools and sports organisations.

Netball WA and Starick will celebrate the partnership during West Coast Fever’s Round Four match against the Sunshine Coast Lightning at RAC Arena on Saturday, 3 May.

When purchasing tickets for the match, the Green Army will also have the opportunity to donate to Starick via the Ticketek portal.

Netball WA Group CEO Simone Hansen said ending family and domestic violence is a cause that the organisation is strongly committed to.

“The work Starick does in the West Australian community is crucial and Netball WA is proud to partner with them in 2025,” Ms Hansen said.

“Netball WA and West Coast Fever first engaged with Starick in the lead up to the 2024 “16 Days in WA” campaign. Starick has been advising and educating our staff on what we can do to help prevent and end family and domestic violence.

“We hope that through this partnership we can play our part in raising awareness and ending family and domestic violence.

“I strongly encourage the Green Army and everyone attending our Round Four match against the Lightning to make a donation to Starick to assist them in their efforts to provide these vital services.”

Starick Chief Executive Officer Leanne Barron said: “We are incredibly proud to partner with Netball WA as an Official Charity Partner in 2025.

“This partnership reflects the power of sport to drive positive social change, and we’re deeply grateful to Netball WA and West Coast Fever for standing with us to help end family and domestic violence.

“Through this partnership, we can raise awareness of violence and help prevent it now and in the future, and we can raise funds to support Starick’s work in providing safety for women and children.  Every donation made through the Ticketek portal helps us continue providing critical crisis services and prevention programs in the community.

“Thank you to the entire Netball WA team for your commitment to creating safer, more respectful communities. Working together, we can create a future free from violence.”

Tickets are on sale now via Ticketek for the Round Four West Coast Fever versus Sunshine Coast Lightning match at RAC Arena on Saturday, 3 May. Centre Pass will be at 5pm WST.
