Netball WA are pleased to announce the four inaugural recipients of the Innovation and Growth award.

Recipients were awarded on the basis of both innovation and growth in various areas as an acknowledgment of their hard work.

Central Wheatbelt Netball Association

The Central Wheatbelt Netball Association worked with a Consultant and the Football and Hockey Associations in the Central Wheatbelt area to implement Governance reform with all three Associations coming together to form the Central Wheatbelt Winter Sports Association.

This innovation built only growth within the competitions space but also assisted in building capacity within the volunteer & committee structures.

Southern Districts Netball Association

The Netball WA No Limits Netball Program is a participation-based program for individuals aged over 12-years-old with an intellectual disability.

Netball WA congratulates Southern Districts Netball Association for the work put into their No Limits Program, increasing growth in the number of participants, coaches and umpires in the program.

Three teams from the program represented Southern Districts Netball Association at the Fuel to Go & Play Association Championships – No Limits Division in 2024

South Midlands Netball Association

South Midlands Netball Association prioritised the growth and development of their coaches, umpires and players in 2024.

Highlights included umpires earning their first umpiring B Badge, selection in the State Umpire Performance Program and umpiring in the GIG WANL Competition.

Coach upskilling was also on the agenda, with coaches obtaining their Development Accreditation and the first Intermediate Coach accreditation achieved.  A development program was also implemented for players.

Serpentine Jarrahdale Netball Association

After five years, Serpentine Jarrahdale Netball Association re-established a Spring competition, with numbers just short of their Winter competition.

The addition of a Walking Netball Program was also well received and provided a wonderful community atmosphere.

The Spring numbers reflect the population growth in the Serpentine Jarrahdale & Mundijong areas and Serpentine Jarrahdale NA look forward to further growing their Association

Congratulations to all the 2024 winners!
