Netball in Perth and the Peel Region has been postponed until further notice following last night’s announcement by Premier Mark McGowan that community sport is not permitted to continue during a four-day lock-down in the affected areas.
This includes Round 10 of the Gold Industry Group West Australian Netball League scheduled for tonight, Tuesday, June 29.
The Gold Netball Centre is closed to the public and Netball WA staff in Perth and the Peel Region are working remotely during the lock-down, which is currently scheduled to conclude at 12.01am, Saturday July 3.
Anyone in an unaffected region who has been in Perth or Peel since 12pm Sunday June 27 must comply with mask-wearing requirements as if they are in the affected area.
Travel restrictions to remote Aboriginal communities are also still in place in WA.
If you have attended a known exposure site or are feeling unwell, please isolate and get tested as soon as possible at a COVID clinic.
The netball community is urged to remain informed via the State Government’s COVID 19 Information and Advice website.
Everyone’s continued diligence to follow the directives and get tested if unwell so that we can keep our community safe is greatly appreciated.
Netball WA will provide further information as soon as it comes to hand.
