As announced today by the WA Government, Level 1 COVID-19 directions have been reinstated from 12pm Sunday June 27, for the Perth and Peel region for a minimum period of three days.
This includes wearing masks unless engaged in some form of strenuous or vigorous exercise or physical activity, such as netball.
The two square metre capacity rule, up to a maximum 150-patron limit, including players, has also been reinstated for all indoor and outdoor netball venues.
Coaches, umpires, bench officials, score keepers, timers and staff are not included in the 150-patron limit.
As a result, Round 10 of the Gold Industry Group West Australian Netball League on Tuesday, June 29, at the Gold Netball Centre will have a strict capacity limit of 150 patrons, which includes players. Due to these restrictions, unfortunately spectators will not be permitted at this Round.
All patrons at indoor netball venues, including the Gold Netball Centre, must wear a mask unless they are exempt under Level 1 State Government COVID-19 directions.
All patrons at outdoor netball venues must wear a mask unless they are able to physically distance or are exempt under Level 1 State Government COVID-19 directions.
Anyone who has been in Perth or the Peel Region since 12pm, Sunday June 27 and leaves the affected area, must continue to follow directives while outside the affected area.
If you have attended a known exposure site or are feeling unwell, please do not attend any netball venues and get tested as soon as possible at a COVID clinic.
Everyone’s continued diligence to keep themselves and others safe at the netball and when out and about in the community is greatly appreciated.
This remains an evolving situation and we will be keeping a close eye on State Government updates and provide further information as it comes to hand.
