Dear WA Netball community,
Following the announcement by Premier Mark McGowan that the Perth and Peel regions will enter a three-day lockdown from midnight April 23, all community netball competitions and events scheduled across the long weekend in these regions have been postponed until further notice.
It is unfortunate given how much everyone was looking forward to getting back on the court, starting with Round 1 of the Gold Industry Group WANL season, but a crucial step necessary to safeguard the health and wellbeing of all netball participants.
Anyone who has been at any of the public exposure sites needs to attend a COVID clinic for testing and isolate at home until they receive a negative result.
It is important that anyone who has visited Perth since April 17 and returned to a regional community, complies with Perth and Peel lock-down restrictions, including staying at home and wearing a mask, and must not attend or participate in any netball training, games or events.
All regional clubs should continue to maintain the appropriate hygiene requirements at all times.

Nothing is more important than the health and well-being of our netball participants and the wider community that we are all a part of, and this will remain at the forefront of all decision making.
Further updates will be provided from Netball WA as soon as possible.
The netball community is urged to remain informed via the State Government’s COVID 19 Information and Advice website
On behalf of Netball WA, please stay home and stay safe in Perth and Peel. We look forward to seeing you back on the court as soon as possible.
Sincerely
Simone Hansen
