Dana Sawka has been elected to Netball WA’s Board of Directors on a two-year term, finalising all appointments to the Board.
Sawka has a strong background in communications and marketing with over 10 years’ experience delivering digital technology and strategy for WA’s major redevelopment projects including Elizabeth Quay, Yagan Square and Scarborough.
She is enthusiastic about netball, having played for many years at Wanneroo Districts Netball Association and being an avid West Coast Fever member. In 2016 Sawka was a member of Netball WA’s Marketing Advisory Committee which provided strategic guidance on the rollout of Netball WA brands.
“I am delighted to be appointed to the Board. It’s an exciting opportunity for me to channel my professional and personal passions and champion netball as the sport of choice in WA,” she said.
Netball WA President, Grant Robinson welcomed Sawka to the Board.
“We are very pleased to have finalised our Board of Directors with the appointment of Dana who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the Marketing and Technology industries,” he said.
“I would like to thank our members and partners for their ongoing support and dedication to netball, especially in the last couple of months and as a community we will get through this together.”
Today’s announcement follows the appointments of Brendon Grylls and Craig Heatley to the Board of Directors earlier this year.
