Netball WA and Hyundai have signed a new one-year partnership which will help to drive participation in the Netball WA Community Raffle, delivering real benefits to associations and clubs across the State.

As part of the partnership, Hyundai and the WA Dealership network are donating the all-new Kona Hybrid Premium N Line valued at $54,118 driveaway as the major prize in the raffle.

The other great news is that Netball WA has changed the funding model of the raffle which will now see 100 per cent of proceeds from ticket sales go directly to associations and clubs. Last year’s raffle yielded almost $38,000 in sales with one club raising more than $20,000 which was simply amazing.

Netball WA Chief Executive Officer Simone Hansen said the change in the funding model was made possible because of the new partnership.

“We are really excited to have Hyundai on board as a Major Partner of Netball WA and their generous contribution of a vehicle for our community raffle is a huge benefit to Netball in Western Australia,” Hansen said.

“Hyundai’s support and passion for community sport will really help Netball WA to drive participation in our raffle to levels we have never seen before. We are celebrating our centenary this year and we would love to sell $100,000 in tickets to mark this milestone.

“We know associations and clubs will welcome the opportunity to keep every dollar from every ticket sold to help fund projects and initiatives to help their players, coaches, officials and supporters.

“We strongly encourage every and each association and club to use the Netball WA Community Raffle as their major fundraiser in 2024 and beyond. Netball WA handles all the administration and permits so that community netball can focus on selling tickets and now they will keep 100 per cent of sales.”

Hyundai Regional General Manager Michael Beros said: “Hyundai is very excited about joining forces with one of Western Australia’s biggest and brightest sporting associations. This new partnership between Hyundai and Netball WA signifies an exciting new chapter for our brand as we know how deeply entrenched Netball is within WA’s passionate sporting culture and boasting thousands of active participants across all levels.

“We look forward to implementing initiatives that drive lasting progress and support, such as the Hyundai Community Netball Raffle. By integrating Hyundai’s extensive local dealership network, we look forward to collaborating with Netball WA to strengthen and support this incredibly passionate community.”

All Netball associations and clubs are encouraged to sign up as ticket sellers to ensure they maximise the revenue they could earn.
