A special congratulations goes to Jayme Tapscott from North Midlands Netball Association, who was named the Midwest Gascoyne Region Volunteer of the Year.
The inaugural Spirit of Netball Award was presented to Charlotte Todd from Geraldton Primary School, recognising her outstanding contribution to the spirit of the championships.
Rising talent was also celebrated, with Hannah Newman from Exmouth Netball Association named Rising Star Coach and Justine Camac from North Midlands Netball Association recognised as Rising Star Umpire.
The championships also marked an exciting milestone for several umpires who were presented with their C Badges. Congratulations to Bianca Brennan – Falcons Netball Club, Justine Camac – North Midlands Netball Association, Emma Rowe – Turquoise Coast Netball Association, Harriet Keneston – Exmouth Netball Association, Nadia Katona – North Midlands Netball Association, Niamh Sharpe – Kalbarri Netball Association and Ellie Rickerby – Exmouth Netball Association.
Adding to the atmosphere, West Coast Fever mascot Maali made a special appearance to the delight of attendees, while the official West Coast Fever Merch Van gave regional fans the opportunity to purchase Fever gear in person.
