Round 13 was capped by close games in every game of Open division, with the highest winning margin only eight goals.

Western Roar 49 defeat West Coast Warriors 41

The reigning premiers narrowly ran away untouched in Round 13, with a strong first and final quarter pushing them ahead.

Some quick work in goals by Warriors Jamaica Jauncey (29) and Hana Stokes (11) brought the side into the game following quarter time, but Roar’s Sophia Lamers (34) and Asha Parsons (15) were too formidable to overcome.

Comets 66 defeat Fremantle Sharks 61

With one game still to come for the round, the Comets have momentarily pushed themselves to second on the ladder with a five-goal win.

The side will be anxiously waiting to see the result of the Peel Lightning and Southside Demons game to determine their placing heading into the final round of the regular season.

Despite the loss, the Sharks managed to win the final quarter by two and will be impressed by their late season comeback after a shaky start to the year. Comets Jasmah Haywood (36), Sloan Burton (17) and Madeleine Ash (13) all had solid performances in goals.
