West Australian Netball legend Jill McIntosh AM has been appointed as a Member in the General Division of the Order of Australia in the 2023 King’s Birthday Honours List.

West Australian Netball legend Jill McIntosh AM has been appointed as a Member in the General Division of the Order of Australia in the 2023 King’s Birthday Honours List.

The appointment comes as recognition of her significant service to Netball, particularly as a coach at the national and international level.

McIntosh represented Australia as a player, captain and coach, holding the record for most Tests as coach for any national team.

Over the span of her career as a player and coach, she helped Australia win a World Cup, two World Championships and two Commonwealth Games.

McIntosh is an official Legend in the WA Hall of Champions and the GIG WANL Fairest and Best Award is named in her honour.
