Multiple close games, star debuts and a passionate atmosphere made up Round Five of the GIG WANL season.
West Coast Warriors 45 defeat Peel Lightning 44
Heading into Gold Round, the Warriors and Lightning were only separated on the ladder by percentage.
Both teams reacted quickly in goals, not allowing the other to take a genuine lead throughout the entire game.
West Coast Fever Training Partner and Club Ambassador Kelsey Browne made her GIG WANL debut halfway through the second quarter. Browne rolled into the Wing Attack bib and assisted Rebecca Lill with a goal.
The moment of the game was in the final 25 seconds, a missed goal from Lightning’s Marene Peyper translated into a defensive rebound by Liza Ball. Ball, alongside Scarlet Jauncey and Gardenia Asiata transitioned into attack and ran the clock down in the final seconds to win by one goal.

Southside Demons 59 defeat Fremantle Sharks 52
Another close game in Gold Round, the Demons maintained their undefeated start to the season with a seven-goal win over the Sharks.
Demon Montanna Turnbull was crucial in the mid-court, moving the ball into the impressive Georgia Pitt with 36-goals.
The Demons were able to build a slight lead in the third quarter which Brooke Marques lept on as the Goal Attack.
Kasey Ridout continues to impress with a shot on the final buzzer, filling in the shooting role alongside Sophie Eataugh.

Western Roar 69 defeat Rangers 41
The Western Roar led the Rangers throughout every quarter of the game, particularly impressing with their goal accuracy and dominance.
Sophia Lamers had her second highest scoring game for Roar, with an impressive 57 individual goals from herself. Asha Parsons assisted in Goal Attack with 11, and former Shark Zoey Baxter scored one for her new side.
Roar went three for three across all divisions for a second week in a row.
The Ranger’s shooting end was headlined by Abbey Hicks (18), Aisha Morcombe (14), Kimberely Burton (five) and Emily Cramond (four).
Comets 66 defeat Souwest Jets 39
The Comets came back in Gold Round, taking a 17-goal win over the Jets.
Comets Sloan Burton (26) and Jasmah Haywood (25) are shaping up as a strong duo in goals, joined by Madeline Ash (14) and Emma Cosh (one).
Jet Rylee Hall was again influential with 27 goals. Lily Gilsenan (six), Meretini Fuimaono (five) and Maddie Grant (one), were also sharing responsibilities in goals.
Round six will take place this Saturday, 5 April with every game taking place across the day at Gold Netball Centre.
