Comets held off a fast-finishing Fremantle Sharks outfit to claim a 55-51 win and end the Sharks’ season, with the Warriors’ result elsewhere cementing their place in the top four. The Comets controlled the first half before the Sharks kicked into gear after the main break, sparked by Sophie Eastaugh’s strong return from injury with 17 goals. With just under three minutes remaining, Sloan Burton and Aitaua Enari both scored twice to lock in the win.
