The reigning premiers stamped their dominance at the latter end of the season, with Comets producing a commanding 58–36 win over Lightning. Their high-volume shooting proved the difference, led by Aitaua Enari with an outstanding 40 individual goals, while Sloan Burton added 17 to keep the scoreboard ticking over. For Lightning, a low-scoring second quarter proved costly, as the side was unable to match Comets’ attacking consistency and continues to fall short of expectations this season.

Fremantle Sharks 45 defeated Western Roar 36
Fremantle Sharks returned to their best with a solid 45–36 win over Western Roar. Aisha Morcombe led the way in attack with 27 goals, supported strongly by Kathryn Byrne with 15. Despite Roar boasting a highly talented defensive end, they were unable to convert their opportunities consistently or build momentum back through the court, allowing Sharks to maintain control and secure the result.
Southside Demons 68 defeated Souwest Jets 33
Southside Demons made an emphatic statement with a dominant 68–33 victory over Souwest Jets. The Demons opened the match with a 12-goal lead in the first quarter and continued to control the contest from there. Their versatile shooting end was a major strength, allowing them to share the load and work around the Jets’ defensive pressure, with Meg Gallagher scoring 29 goals, Georgia Ettridge 28 and Georgia Pitt 11.
Warriors 68 defeated Rangers 46
Rangers held their own early against Warriors, with the opening quarter evenly matched at 14 goals apiece. Captain Myra Ugle continued to carry significant responsibility for her side, finishing with 29 goals. However, an 11-goal blitz from Warriors helped set them up for a comfortable 68–46 win, with Zoe Harper starring with 44 goals and young gun Jade Dimer continuing to make her mark on the Open League with 11 goals.
Men’s Competition
There was exciting news in the men’s competition, with newcomers Peel Lightning claiming a major result over reigning premiers Western Roar by 14 goals — a significant achievement in their first year in the competition. Fifth-placed Rangers also produced an upset over the third-placed Warriors, driven by a 39-goal performance from Jerome Gillbard.
