ECU Souwest Jets v Western Roar

Most Recent Meetings:

Round 11 2021: Jets drew Roar 46-46

Round 1 2021: Roar defeated Jets 51-39

The Situation:

This Preliminary Final game is bound to be exciting as Roar and Jets compete for a place in the Grand Final after having drawn when they played each other in Round 11.

The winner of this Preliminary Final match will determine which team will go head-to-head in the Grand Final next week against Warriors.

Having defeated Comets by 20 points in the semi final, Roar are expected to enter the Preliminary Final with confidence, while Jets will be aiming to bounce back after their Semi Final defeat to Warriors last week.

Key Players:

Cassie Farquhar-Reid (Jets – WA). A player of speed and accuracy, Farquhar-Reid keeps the pressure hot in the centre third throughout the game, always able to read the play and intercept.

Giselle Taylor (Jets - GS). Taylor often works around the goal circle with her centre and wing attack counterparts to position herself perfectly for a goal. However, even when this position is not ideal, Taylor manages to shoot deep range, the skill proving an asset to Jets’ team.

Maddison Schultz (Roar - GA). A key player with extensive experience behind her and consistent high performance all season, Maddison Schultz will be hard to shake as she plays GA for Roar.

Sophia Lamers (Roar - GS). With Schultz’s ability to make space and create shooting opportunities, Lamers pulls off exceptional accuracy and will be a challenge to her defenders.
