Revell has once again been voted by her peers to take on the leadership role of Captain, with plenty of netball experience to back her up.
On top of the Western Swans, she also plays Saturday netball at Perth Netball Association.
“I’ve played netball since I was six and I am now 23,” she said.
“I’ve been a part of the Western Swans for seven years; I’d be up there with the longest running.”
Revell loves the Western Swans program for the friendships she develops.
“My favourite thing is the friends and the community,” she said.
“We all get along and love netball, it’s really good and special to me.”
The squad fly out on Thursday and are ready to hit the ground running for the first day of competition on Friday.
“My favourite thing about travelling is going on the plane and competing against other teams,” Revell said.
“I’m most excited to play against South Australia, we came close against them and then hopefully we do better than Victoria,
“Hopefully this team can get a medal and bring it home, that would be good.”
Midcourter Imogen Peterson said in her third year of the Western Swans she is still very excited for the tournament.
Her love for netball and the Western Swans means she travels from Rockingham to the Gold Netball Centre for her training sessions.
“My favourite part is making new friends, I have some good friends,” she said.
Peterson is also most excited to play against the other States.
“ACT is such a good team, they make my heart beautiful.”
With her Mum travelling with her and her friends watching along, Peterson would love to improve on their best position of fourth.
“Hopefully we can come third this year, we want a medal or a trophy,”
“We have a couple new players, so it’s been really good, and Bev is such an amazing coach who has improved everyone.”
