Fremantle Netball Association and Goomalling Netball Club have received grants as part of the 2022 Netball WA Community Facilities Fund.

The fund exists to supplement efforts at a strategic level to ensure netball has access to quality facilities which support the future growth of the game.

Fremantle Netball Association was awarded $4,620 which will be used to help complete the extensive refurbishments the Association has been undertaking. The final phase of the redevelopment is court resurfacing.

The association previously received $1.8 million in State Government funding to help complete its plans for a $2.6 million redevelopment of its facility including new change room, offices, canteens and first aid facilities.

Goomalling Netball Club received $8,140 to help improve four light towers across two outdoor courts.

The upgraded lighting will aid the club to increase participation numbers in its spring netball Fast5 competition.

The weekly competition has attracted strong numbers not only locally but from outside their association.

Applications for the 2023 Netball WA Community Facilities Fund will open in August 2023.

For more information on the fund, visit the Facilities page of the Netball WA website.
