Comets 56 defeat West Coast Warriors 48
To the surprise of nobody in the stands, the third placed Warriors and fourth placed Comets had an incredibly tight match.
Warriors Scarlet Jauncey and Liza Ball were both impactful in defence with intercepts to their name.
Comet Emma Cosh played her had at centre providing a level of calm energy in the mid-court.
It was a battle of the shooters, with Comet Jasmah Haywood (38) and Warrior Jamaica Jauncey (45) both leading from the front.
Until the fourth quarter, the highest margin between the teams was only four goals, quick concise goals from Haywood built the game winning lead.

Southside Demons 78 defeat Rangers 37
The Southside Demons didn’t leave room for any errors on Wednesday night, delivering a brutal blow to the Rangers.
The Demon’s goal circle was capped by experience with Georgia Pitt (22) and Kelsey McPhee (37).
With too many unforced errors, the Rangers just weren’t able to get goals on the board.
Wester Roar 51 draw with Fremantle Sharks 54
The Fremantle Sharks have been the first team to not allow the Western Roar to deliver a win since 2023.
The Roar started the match with a strong first quarter, taking a nine-goal lead thanks to Sophia Lamers (32) and Asha Parsons (five) shooting.
During the second quarter, West Coast Fever Training Partners Caitlyn Brown and Mwai Kumwenda (MJ) began their face off, with MJ’s GIG WANL Debut being capped off with 30 goals.
The Sharks were able to bring themselves back in the third quarter managing five goals over the reigning premiers and brought themselves level in the fourth quarter.
Just when it looked like they had made the upset of the year, a goal on the siren from Roar’s Zoey Baxter tied the game up.
The Peel Lightning will host the final match of Belt Up round at their home game in Mandurah this Friday against the Souwest Jets.
