Emerging WA talent ready for national championships

Netball WA are excited to announce the following athletes who have been selected from our West Coast Fever Futures Program to represent WA at the 2024 National Netball Championships in Victoria.

Netball WA are excited to announce the following athletes who have been selected from our West Coast Fever Futures Program to represent WA at the 2024 National Netball Championships in Victoria.

Melbourne’s south-east will host Australian netball’s largest pathway event this April when the 2024 Championships are held at Frankston’s newest sporting precinct.

After WA secured two medals at the 2023 National Netball Championships, the first time since 2004. The teams will be looking to build upon their success in 2024.

This year, both sides will wear new uniforms featuring Netball WA’s new Indigenous artwork entitled “Our Place to Play” designed by Jilalga Murray from JILALGA DESIGNS.

West Coast Fever Talent Coach and 17/U State Coach Guy Keane said: “We are excited about the emerging talent coming through the WA pathway and providing opportunities for our athletes to perform on the national stage.

“I’ve been impressed with the drive and desire amongst athletes and coaches to continue striving for excellence and challenging ourselves against the best emerging talent in Australia. 

“Our preparations are tracking well, with our 2024 simulation weekend coming up soon, which will provide opportunities to build connections on and off the court as we get closer to heading to Melbourne for compete.”
