Following a strong Netball National Championships campaign, eight WA athletes have been rewarded with selection in Netball Australia’s National Pathway Squads.

Netball WA would like to congratulate the following athletes on their selection:

19/U: Ava Buselich, Kate Cunningham and Clara Wigley

17/U: Keely Berry, Charli Hynes, Amelie Markovic, Skyla Payne and Halle Richards.

All athletes were members of the WA State Teams who placed fourth earlier this month at the championships.

Netball WA Talent Coach Guy Keane expressed how proud Netball WA was of these athletes.

“It’s incredibly rewarding to see so many homegrown West Australian athletes recognised nationally, which is a significant milestone that reflects the strength of our high-performance pathway,” Keane said.

“It highlights the depth of talent we have in Western Australia and the effectiveness of the structures Netball WA has put in place to ensure a thriving pipeline.

“We remain committed to building a sustainable future for elite netball in WA, one that consistently produces athletes ready to compete and succeed on the national and international stage.”

The selected athletes will now enter national development camps, designed to foster their growth on and off the court.

17/U squad members will come together at the Australian Institute of Sport this July, with the 19/U camp set for September.
