Peel Lightning 55 defeat Fremantle Sharks 46
Peel Lightning secured an 11-goal win over the Sharks on Saturday, a fourth loss for Fremantle.
The Sharks came out strong, winning the first quarter, but Lightning were determined and won the final three.
Lightning’s Chelsea Cook was once again impressive with 44 goals to her name, alongside Marene Pyper’s nine and Rebecca Lill’s two.
With a missing Sophie Eastaugh in goals, Kasey Ridout continued to provide for the side with 34 goals. Kathryn Byrne took home 12 in Goal Attack.
Western Roar 61 defeat Southside Demons 37
The Western Roar have ended the only other undefeated teams winning streak with a convincing win over the Demons.
Sophia Lamers has continued her sensational season for Roar with 42 goals. Asha Parsons (17) and Zoey Baxter (two) assisted Lamers.
In the red dress, Kate Bunten celebrated 100 GIG WANL games, wearing the Wing Defence bib for all four quarters.
Comets 71 defeat Rangers 36
The Comets have taken an essential win over the Rangers in Round six, with Madeleine Ash (33), Jasmah Haywood (20) and Sloan Burton (18) shooting for the side.
The 2024 runners up have not started the season how they would have wanted, with three losses to their name. This 35-goal win will be the percentage they need to put them in a better place going into the break.
The Rangers Abbey Hicks (17), Aisha Morcombe (14) and Kimberley Burton (five) shared shooting responsibility.
West Coast Warriors 59 defeat Souwest Jets 42
The Warriors came out firing in the first quarter with a 13-goal win, but the Jets pushed through in the second quarter to lead it by three.
Shooting Superstar Jamaica Jauncey guaranteed the Warriors their win with her massive 41-goals for the game.
For the Jets, staple Rylee Hall shot 30 whilst training partner Lily Gilsenan impressed with 12.
