Earlier today, WA Premier Mark McGowan confirmed that WA will enter a five-day lockdown due to the detection of a positive COVID-19 case in a hotel quarantine worker. The state will begin five days of lockdown from 6pm Sunday January 31. Only essential workers will be able to attend workplaces and masks will be compulsory outside the home. This hard border impacts the Perth, Peel and South West areas. The announcement along with further information can be found here: https://www.wa.gov.au/government/announcements/perth-metro-peel-and-south-west-enter-hard-lockdown
As a result, the Gold Netball Centre will be closed from 6pm this evening until at least Saturday 6th February, pending further Government advice.
Effective tomorrow, Monday 1st February, Netball WA staff will be working from home during normal business hours. This follows the same approach employed last year during the WA State lockdown. Staff will be available on email and phone.
Netball activity must be cancelled until further government advice and direction.
As per today’s government advice, exercise is only permitted within a person’s own neighbourhood, but only with one other person and only for one hour per day. Masks are to be worn at all times when outside of your place of residence, this includes at workplaces and on public transport.
We will endeavour to provide you with further updates and provide additional information pending further Government advice.
