On Thursday evening, WA Premier Mark McGowan confirmed that WA will conclude the mandatory five-day lockdown as of 6pm, Friday 5th of February. In a phased approach in returning to normal, The Perth and Peel Regions will still have transitional restrictions in place until 12:01am Sunday, 14th of February.

As part of these transitional restrictions, workers will be able to attend workplaces provided a 4 square metre rule is enforceable and face masks will be compulsory outside the home, including in workplaces. This impacts the Perth and Peel areas. The announcement along with further information can be found here: https://www.wa.gov.au/government/announcements/transition-out-of-lockdown-6pm-friday-5-february

As a result, the Gold Netball Centre will re-open from 9am Monday 8th of February, operating on the government guidelines and capacity restrictions.

Effective Monday 8th February, Netball WA staff will begin returning to the office in a phased approach, with some staff still working from home until Monday, 15th February. Staff will be available on email and phone during normal office hours.

Netball activity can resume under government advice and direction including wearing a mask when not vigorously exercising and maintaining social distancing.

We will endeavour to provide you with further updates and provide additional information pending further Government advice.

All updates around COVID-19 and their impact on netball can be found here.
