Maddie Hunter fought for intercepts in the mid-court for Roar, but the side struggled to covert mid-court and defensive power into goals.

Roar weren’t going down without a fight and came back on in the final term with a point to prove.
Teagan Begovic came on and shot a goal for the Open side after herself just winning the 21/U premiership.
Haywood ended her day on a sensational 44 goals and earnt herself the Grand Final MVP Award, a fantastic effort from a player who missed the 2024 season with injury.
The Comets have now won two Grand Finals in three years under the leadership of Head Coach Michelle Cox.
