The first quarter proved energetic as both teams came out firing and Roar took an early lead.
Warriors failed to convert on a number of turnover opportunities with Roar’s dynamic defensive duo of Jordan Stothard and Daniel Cools making life difficult for the Warriors.
The second quarter saw tactical substitutions from both teams with Warriors bringing on towering Matthew Brown into Goal Shooter, who finished the game with 19 goals at 86 per cent.
Roar kept dynamic youngster Tom Gordon in Goal Attack, before moving him to Wing Attack, his eagerness to move the ball down the line and use it creatively was important to his side as they grew their lead.
Warriors struggled to convert off the centre pass with Roar providing limited opportunities for a turnover with flawless attack. Roar maintained a strong lead heading into the main change.
Warriors were not giving up heading into the third quarter with Goal Keeper Ian Brady offering some excellent intercepts on the baseline. Warriors gained a slight run-on with three consecutive goals from Brown however, it was short-lived as Roar maintained dominance to end the quarter with a strong 24-goal lead.
The final 15 remained competitive as Warriors refused to throw in the towel. Both shooters were subbed with Roar’s Max Denholm taking some well-earned time off after an excellent game shooting at 94 per cent for a whopping 46 goals.
Roar’s goal circle is in fine form this season with Daniel Perella and Dylan McPherson also putting on a show and cracking 70 goals with two minutes to spare.
Warriors played with a lot of heart but it wasn’t translated on the scoreboard as Roar took out the win to remain undefeated.
