Western Roar Star Defender Caitlyn Brown has become the first player to win three Jill McIntosh Medals, after claiming the best and fairest award for 2025.

Brown, a West Coast Fever Training Partner, added the 2025 medal to her previous wins in 2022 and 2024 to stand alone as the first triple Jill McIntosh Medallist.

McIntosh was on hand to present the medal which Brown comfortably won by five votes from Roar teammate Chelsea Bartlett and Sharks shooter Sophie Eastaugh.

The win caps off a stellar 2025 for Brown who became a Fever Training Partner for the first time, played an integral role in the Fever Reserves Super Netball Reserves Premiership and donned the Green Dress in the Club’s Round 3 clash with the Vixens.

Brown will be looking to add a premiership medal with Western Roar on Saturday when the reigning premiers aim to defend their title against the Comets in the Gold Industry Group WA Netball League Grand Final.

Roar’s Max Denholm took home the Men’s Division Best & Fairest, while Souwest Jet shooter Lily Knight took home the 21/U Award.

For the first time a Players’ Player Award was presented to each division with rising star Scarlet Jauncey from West Coast Warriors claiming the Open Division Award, Denholm the Men’s Award and West Coast Warriors defender Ava Buselich the 21/U Award.

Brown (Goal Defence) and Bartlett (Goal Keeper) were named in the Team of the Year alongside Jamaica Jauncey (Goal Shooter), Sloan Burton (Goal Attack), Numi Tupaea (Wing Attack), Clara Wigley (Centre) and Gardenia Asiata (Wing Defence).

Southside Demons Head Coach Josie Janz-Dawson received the GIG WANL Coach of the Year Award, after she took the Demons from finalists in 2024 to the preliminary final this year.

While Jerome Gillbard and Sue Douglas were awarded the Umpire of the Year and Bech Official of the Year respectively.

Wigley shared the 19/U State Team MVP Award with Kate Cunningham. While Albany Youngster Keely Berry won the 17/U State Team MVP Award.

To celebrate the hard-working volunteers, the Gold Industry Group kindly donated one “Heart of Gold” Award to each club to recognise their outstanding commitment: Caroyln Smith (Comets), Monique Le Mottee (Fremantle Sharks), Megan Nowotny (Peel Lightning), Tobiasz Millar (Rangers), Hayley Evans (Southside Demons), Angela Repacholi (Souwest Jets), Will Linter (West Coast Warriors) and Paul Rond (Western Roar).
