Established in 2023, the Youth Advisory Group is a platform for young members to discuss views, values, and ideas to provide feedback to Netball WA on their experiences.

The 2024 group will consist of 10 members aged 15-24 who are a part of the Netball WA community as a player, coach, umpire, or volunteer, and are dedicated and passionate about issues that affect them.

The expectation of YAG members is that they will participate in discussions and meetings, contribute to building a cooperative advisory group, excel in the team environment, and demonstrate a commitment to NWA values, procedures, and codes of conduct.

The group gives members the ability to provide advice to NWA regarding issues relating to young people in netball, opportunities to undergo mentoring and professional development, and provide feedback to NWA about marketing and communications strategies from a young person’s perspective.

The volunteer role will commence April and concludes November 2024, with five meetings throughout the year and tasks in between.

Don’t forget that if you are under 18, you will need to get permission from your parents. You can access the Parent Permission Form here.

Applications are now open and close on Thursday, 28 March 2024.
