Reigning premiers Western Roar continued their undefeated start with a four-goal over the Sharks.
The Roar jumped out of the box to lead by four goals at the first break before the Sharks, led by their Captain Ava Robson who was dominating in the midcourt, fought back in the second quarter to trail by one at the main change.
From there, the Roar went to work, winning the third quarter and holding onto that lead throughout a tight final quarter.
Aisha Morcombe and Rylee Hall combined for 37 goals for Roar while Indi Strom was the focal point for the Sharks, finishing with 31 goals from 34 attempts.
It was another four-goal result in the other 20/U Friday night clash as the Demons edged out Warriors 52-48 to remain undefeated in season 2023.
The Warriors started strong to lead by five at the first break and then Demons responded to level the scores at half time. Warriors then edged out the Demons in the third quarter to lead by a solidarity goal going into the final break.
From there, Demons Captain and attacking playmaker Georgia Ettridge took charge and helped her side regain control and win the last quarter to seal a four-goal win. Chelsea Cook scored 39 goals for the Demons, while Lily Gilsenan led the way for the Warriors with 36 goals at 95 per cent.
